Maxine Waters Wants to be our Chavez

I can’t make this up.
Was trolling through some old clips and came across this real beauty from our own Maxine Waters.
She has the CEO’s of major US oil companies in front of her committee in Congress — and is asking them about supply, rising gas prices, etc. Then she gets into it with the CEO of Shell. And on the one hand — good for her. But what comes out of her mouth?
She says she wants to nationalize the US oil industry if prices don’t come down. Well, actually, she didn’t say “nationalize” because she could not think of the word. She tried “socialize” and realized that didn’t quite fit. What she actually meant was “nationalize” — like that idiot dictator Chavez did in Venezuala.
Check out the video for yourself — almost too weird to be true.
I mean — my GOD.
Solar anyone? Bio-fuels? Wind?
Let’s do that — don’t need Maxine or Hugo Chavez.
Please.
Dictators and Terrorists Get Rich, Our Economy Suffers

On news that oil has reached an all-time record high of over $142 per barrel, the stock market crashed in a big way.
So long as the American government goes out of its way to embrace crude and not get serious about alternative energy and renewables, we will always be at the behest of dictators and terrorists.
Wouldn’t it be nice to buy our energy from American farmers and not dictators like Chavez?
Wouldn’t it be more desirable to capture our energy from the sun or the wind, and not depend on state sponsors of terrorism like Libya?
Honest to God, these people want to kill us. They hate freedom. And our nation is so damn dependent on them that we end up fighting wars that we otherwise wouldn’t fight.
And our dependence on oil puts money in their pockets that they use to buy weapons and explosives that are used to destabablize democratic forms of government around the globe.
It’s time to STOP entertaining princes at Camp David and time to put up more windmills, fund solar research and embrace other bio forms of energy and get smart about nuclear power.
The pricetag for all the investments that need to be made in domestic energy production pales in comparison to the investment we have made in protecting oil and propping up dictators and terrorists.
Dictators Love Oil

What would the world think of brutal dictator Hugo Chavez if Venezuala did not have vast oil reserves?
Would the world even know who he is — or would he even be the leader of Venezuela?
Who knows — those profits from oil that his country sells abroad makes him relevent and gives him the $$$ necessary to harm the U.S. and world economy.
Check out this latest piece from the New Yorker which talks about Chavez’s designs on fighting and harming America…

The New Yorker pegs him as the heir to Castro.
Wrong.
This guy is not just a brutal dictator that despises freedom and liberty and will brutalize the citizens of his own country.
He also hates America and everything this country stands for.
When will American politicians wake up and realize that this country will end in ruin unless we develop our own stable, domestic energy supply?
